Book pages, ratings and a shelf menu on every cover

Every book now has its own page with reading time, readers and reviews. Rate what you read, and change shelves or log pages from any cover or from the book page itself.

Books in Roomie used to live only on your shelves. Now each one has a page of its own. It shows how long Roomie readers actually spend on the book, such as 26h focused · ~2h 40m to finish, next to its rating, the people reading it and what they thought. Readers with a private account are counted but never named.

Once you have started a book you can rate it, with stars and an optional note. Roomie asks after a session that finishes a book you have not rated yet, and you can rate from the book page or the progress dialog whenever you like. Your stars show on your own shelf.

Covers now work the way you would expect. Tap a book on your profile, in your library or in a focus area and you land on its page. The line under the cover, like 61% or To read, is now a small menu: move the book to Currently reading, To read or Read, choose Update progress to log where you are, or remove it from your library.

The book page has the same controls. The button under the cover shows the shelf the book is on and opens the same menu. While you are reading, a progress bar sits under it with your page count and an Update progress button, so logging pages never means a trip back to your library.

The progress dialog is simpler too. It is one big page number, or a percent, that you can type or drag along a slider. Shelf and focus area are two small menus under the title, and the rarely used bits (page count, the book page and remove) sit behind ⋯.
